The June sprint comprised work with enhanced security, reminders, reports, journal field validation, and templates.
Security is an important area for Prooptics Clinic+ since there are sensitive personal data and health records stored and handled in the system. In order to strengthen the security level, we’ve decided to introduce an increased password security level. Now all passwords need to be at least 5 characters long and include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, a number and a special character.
Reminders are now included in the customer card. The next upcoming appointment is shown in the customer overview.
With this sprint, we’ve taken the first steps on reporting. We’ve decided to use Microsoft SQL Reporting Services which is a solution that enables us to deploy on our own premises for creating, publishing, and managing reports, then delivering them to the right users in different ways, whether that’s viewing them in web browser, on their mobile device, or as an email in their inbox. As a start we’ve created an SMS report to show how many text messages each customer and store sends.
Templates are an effective tool for customer communication. The template feature in Prooptics Clinic+ has now been enhanced with the feature to create and maintain templates on a chain, region and store level. Did you know that you can personalize the communication by including the customer name, the optician, the store name or other information stored in the database? Well – now you know!
